On October 10, at the Gdańsk University of Technology, the Technology Partners Foundation organized a workshop devoted to the “OFFSHORE” project funded by Norway Grants and led by Technology Partners as the Project Coordinator.

We started with a presentation of the “OFFSHORE” project and then we gave the floor to the Norwegian Offshore Wind Cluster and the Polish Cluster of Composite Technologies to present their activities. Finally, both clusters signed a Memorandum of Understanding, emphasizing the commitment of Norwegian Offshore Wind in the development of composite technologies within offshore wind projects. This partnership aims to harness collective expertise and resources to drive innovation and increase the competitiveness of the Polish offshore wind sector. It is worth mentioning the Norwegian Offshore Wind Cluster signed another MoU at Baltexpo 2023 in the area of offshore wind industry. On the main stage at the BALTEXPO fair a collaboration agreement was signed between the Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society (PTMEW) and Norwegian Offshore Wind. This MoU will play a key role in building closer relationships between Poland and Norway and in shaping offshore wind projects in both countries.

The next point of the program were speeches by workshop participants from Poland and Norway, where they presented the profile and activities of the organization, their motivation to take part in Polish-Norwegian collaboration and partners sought.

We had the pleasure of meeting representatives of many companies and organizations at the workshop: Air Force Institute of Technology, Amargo Sp. z o.o., ANKO AS, ANMET, Balt-Yacht, Carbon Design Sp. z o.o., C Cube P.S.A., FLINT SYSTEMS Sp. z o.o., Gdańsk Entrepreneurship Foundation, Gdańsk University of Technology – Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Offshore Wind Energy Centre, Info Marine Sp. z o.o., MEWO S.A., MICHAEL ENGINEERING, Noma Resins Sp. z o.o., Norwegian Offshore Wind, Plaston-P Sp. z o.o., Polish Cluster of Composite Technologies (PKTK), RelyOn Nutec, StoGda Ship Design & Engineering Sp. z o.o., TMBK Partners Sp. z o.o., WindTAK Sp. z o.o., Warsaw University of Technology – Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering.

Workshops providing networking opportunities correspond to one of the goals of the “OFFSHORE” project, which is to create sustainable links at both institutional and personal levels as well as to define new opportunities for cooperation.

On the second day of the BALTEXPO fair, October 11, the Technology Partners Foundation took part in the event entitled “Zero-emission technologies in maritime economy” co-organized by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and Innovation Norway. The event was dedicated to Polish and Norwegian companies from the SME sector offering innovative solutions in the field of blue technologies.

We had the opportunity to meet with representatives of companies operating in the offshore industry, marine energy, wind energy, offshore wind farms and water and coastal construction.

In addition to a seminar session and a mini discussion panel during the Baltexpo fair, the event also included a joint tour of the Gdynia port from the ship’s deck and an official dinner which became an opportunity for Polish and Norwegian networking.
